Rural Skills Online Prime
In February 2017 Rural Skills Australia will officially launch its new innovative Moodle based platform supporting various Certificate II and III qualifications from Agriculture, Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management Training Package that superseded AHC10 Training Package in June 2016.
Rural Skills Online Prime will support the 50 odd AHC Training Package Certificate I, II, III units listed on the Rural Skills Online Content page that will progressively become available from over the coming months. This new platform will include new and revised content, enhanced functionality, and amended assessment and mapping documentation aligned to the new Training Package requirements.
Take a sneak peek at our Rural Skills Online Prime promotional video at https://youtu.be/-Mrs3d7kXqc that showcases new features and updates planned for release this year. For an opportunity to view and/or participate in demonstrations of the new platform please contact Jason Raeck, RSO Prime National Coordinator and IT Support Manager via email Jason.Raeck@ruralskills.com.au or phone on 0428 964 596.
To support and encourage RTO participation on our new platform we are pleased to offer an introductory ‘annual facility access charge’ paid on a calendar year basis, and competitive student logon fees per student per qualification. Small RTOs with only limited enrolments can elect to pay a higher student logon fee without an annual facility access charge, unless they exceed 15 enrolments, in a year. Should they exceed 15 enrolments; the annual facility charge will be discounted by 40%.
A new discounted annual facility rate will also be available for overarching providers/bodies, looking to facilitate access to a number of schools, colleges, TAFEs and private providers; subject to those individual entities agreeing to pay agreed student logon fees per student per qualification.
RSA will assume responsibility for all software integrity matters, hosting expenses, maintenance of the site and its functionality, once operational; along with responsibility for the storage and security of entity and individual participant data, including server backups and archived records initially for period of twelve months.
RSA can facilitate access through an exchange of letters with interested RTOs as we move into this new exciting chapter of RSA’s involvement in the provision of innovative on-line learning approaches to support RTOs servicing the needs of our industry sectors, employers and individual students and trainees.
RSA commits to provide the necessary assistance and support to clients to facilitate the development and progression to an innovative Moodle web-based learning portal including the required supporting documentation, ensuring it remain fully operational and meet your organisational requirements at specific qualification levels.
