WA Award Arrangements
Like all Western Australian employees, Australian apprentices/trainees are employed
under an industrial arrangement. These include;
· Awards, both federal and state
· Australian Workplace or Certified Agreements
· Western Australian Employer Employee Agreements
In a few cases, for example the federal Pastoral Industry Award, specific
arrangements
have been included for Australian apprentices/trainees. The Pastoral
Industry award includes
the National Training Wage (NTW) rates.
· Minimum rates for employees and trainees/apprentices apply in WA.
Employers should check with their employer body or the Department of
Productivity and
Labour Relations (DOPLAR) to ascertain their correct
award/agreement and conditions.
