· The
Victorian Office of Training & Tertiary Education (OTTE) has signed off on
Approved Training Schemes for the new (revised) Amenity Horticulture and Rural
Production (Agriculture) Training Packages to take effect from 2 January 2004. RTF30403 Horticulture (Landscape), RTF30803 Horticulture (Turf), RTF30503 Horticulture (Retail Nursery), or RTF30603 Horticulture (Wholesale Nursery), may have their training contract in the new qualifications with ‘Set One’¹ level of regulation and a nominal duration of 4 years. OTTE will allow training contracts in the old qualifications, as traineeships with ‘Set Two’¹ level of regulation and a three year nominal duration, for a transitional period.
