Figures in brackets indicate the average proportion of time spent in approved training to which the associated base periodic rate of pay is applicable. Where not specifically indicated the average proportion of time spent in structured training which has been taken into account in setting the rate is 20 per cent. Note: NTW weekly rates are rounded to the nearest dollar.

Fair Pay Commission Trainee Wage Skill Level C Rates effective 1 October 2008

Note: The information provided above must be read in conjunction with the advice detailed below. Employers (incorporated entities or corporations) can access traineeship provisions through the Federal Pastoral Award, if named respondent or a member of the NSW Farmers’ Industrial Association at and since 27 March 2006. Alternatively they may have access to traineeships wage provisions through a registered Certified Agreement (CA) or Australian Workplace Agreement (AWA) under the Federal Workplace Relations Act 1996, precursor to the new Workchoices Legislation (Pre-reform CA or AWA); or through a registered State Enterprise Agreement.
Employers (not incorporated entities or corporations) who were members of the NSW Farmers’ Industrial Association before 27 March 2006, and who have maintained their membership have access to Wage Level C NTW rates and provisions through the Federal Pastoral Award.
Employers (not incorporated entities or corporations) who are not members of the NSW Farmers Industrial Association; and employers (not incorporated entities or corporations) who joined the NSW Farmers’ Industrial Association after 27 March 2006 cannot access Wage Level C NTW rates and provisions through the Federal Pastoral Award. Like Association members employing family members they must use the traineeship provisions available through the Rural Traineeships (State) Consolidated Award 1999. Rates for that Award and other relevant NSW State Awards are detailed below.
RURAL TRAINEESHIPS (STATE) AWARD, Code 449 Wage rates increased with effect from the first full pay period to commence on or after 1 December 2005, to the rates detailed below:
DAIRY INDUSTRY EMPLOYEES (STATE) AWARD, Code 278
Traineeships wage rates within the Dairy Industry Employees (State) Award, Code 278, increased with effect from the first full pay period to commence on or after 1 December 2005 to the amounts indicated in the following table. These are different from the rates contained within the Rural Traineeships (State) Award and the National Training Wage Award.
TRAINING WAGE (STATE) 1614
Through the Training Wage (State) Award, Code 1614, the following Parent Awards of the New South Wales Industrial Relations Commission have access to traineeship options:-ANIMAL WELFARE GENERAL (STATE) AWARD Code 011, and ANIMAL WELFARE INSTITUTIONAL (STATE) AWARD, Code 012. Wage rates increased with effect from the first full pay period to commence on or after 30 September 2006, to the rates detailed below:
AWU TRAINING WAGE (STATE) AWARD
The AWU Training Wage (State) Award provides Traineeship Wage rates at varying industry skill levels A, B and C, including school-based and part-time rates to various NSW AWU Parent Awards. Wage rates increased with effect from the first full pay period to commence on or after 6 October 2005, to the rates detailed below:
