Fred worked in the Commonwealth Employment Service and the Industry Training Branch of the Australian Government's various training departments before setting up the Australian Apprenticeships Centre: CATS (Central Apprenticeships and Traineeships) and then taking up the role with RSA as Education and Training Adviser for Western Australia.
In response to the limited availability and distribution of agricultural careers information RSA WA has put together resource packages for Careers and VET practitioners.
The packages contain RSA's printed materials together with information from the WA Department of Agriculture and Food, AUSVEG Careers and the ONTrack DVD. These careers packages will be mailed to anyone who requests one. They can be used as a resource and/or to order multiple copies of any of the information to distribute at careers events or held in school libraries and alike.
