Provider Networks Conference Albury

Victorian Education and Training Adviser, Gordon Griffin, attended the National Agriculture, Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management Provider Networks Conference at Albury. Also attending from RSA was Executive Director Geoff Bloom and the adviser for NSW and the ACT.

The conference, 'Building our capacity nationally', was held over 2½ days and attended by training providers and representatives from across Australia. The key themes were around capability and capacity building, innovation, sustainability and biodiversity and the new AHC10 Training Package.

A series of industry tours were provided, including the National Environment Centre Farm (part of Charles Sturt University), the Wonga Wetlands, a fascinating diverse farming operation that includes crops, livestock olives and aquaculture, and a large free stall dairy operation.

A range of very interesting speakers contributed to the conference and the three networks discussed issues relating to their sectors and the implementation of the AHC10 Training Package. It was regarded as a very good conference and a tremendous opportunity for networking with trainers and assessors.
